Just like Abe and His Babe’s previous releases, She Loves You is recorded alone by Albin Samuelsson in his rehearsal space using a Zoom R24 portastudio. Although the original was recorded 60 years ago by The Beatles it would be a shame to call this version a cover, since they are two completely different songs. This one is more of an interpretation that belongs in the underground scene, rather than the pop bar, with its hard rock-meets-pop punk sound. This interpretation is heavier, less optimistic and somewhat morbid. One can question if she actually loves him for real or if it’s a mockery. It can almost be compared to Careless Whisper where George Michael’s original sounds cozy but sad, while Seether’s interpretation gives us a feeling of death wish.
